Day 4: Wednesday, March 24 |

Yesterday was another hallmark day in the lives of the students. (We are leaving shortly for Prague and I may have to end this without giving a complete report.)
Yesterday was a meeting of the minds: the finest if Slovak minds and those of Veritas. We met with one of tge best schools academically in the country. It is a school that has the only IB program in the country. These students are able to speak fluently several languages, sharp in a number of areas, and very opinionated. Our students were given the opportunity to present their theses to the students several times (at least 3 x) and then engage in the exchange of ideas. They were scared at first and wanting this day to go away, but found the experience a thrilling one. They found themselves able to handle the questions, at least most of them. For the questions they didn't know how to respond to, they made note of and intend to find the answers. The most difficult part of this challenge was they were not able to defend their positions from a biblical perspective. They had to speak in terms of principle and use logic and reasoning. Looking back at our prep time the night before, I to believe that our time Colson's book was very helpful. The Veritas students did a great job and were very encouraged. Later that day we hiked up to Castle Bratislava and then finished at the studio were the student helped write the lyrics for the next song of Cookie of "Save the Cookie". The studio did a recording of Hillary's latest song. They will be sending us a final copy when completed. It was a great day! All are in good health and are eating well...maybe too well.
