This Handbook serves as the Veritas Christian Academy Policy Manual and includes a required Signature Acknowledgment page at the end.
The Handbook has three sections: Annual Supplement, Introduction, and the Student and Parent section.
- The Annual Supplement changes from year to year. It contains introductions to the Administration and the Faculty and Staff of Veritas Academy. It also contains a Family directory, the Phone Chain, and School Calendar. (Please Note: Annual supplement will not be available until September)
- The Introduction contains material that speaks to the foundational commitments and the heritage of Veritas Christian Academy. In it, you will find Veritas’ Statement of Faith and Philosophy, a short history of Veritas Academy and other items that pertain to the entire school.
- The Student and Parent section contains information and items that have a direct bearing on the life of a student at Veritas. Information on grading, uniform policy, admissions and promotion are covered in this area. In addition, it also contains areas in which parents might have a concern. Questions like: “How do I communicate with my child’s teacher?” and “Can this event be published in the school newsletter?” are answered in this section.
Students and parents are required to read the Handbook and submit the completed Signature Acknowledgment page at the start of each academic year.
