Veritas Christian Academy

Veritas Christian Academy reclaimed the crown at the third annual Chesapeake Freedom Challenge on December 6, 2009. Demonstrating a mastery of the Revolutionary War Battle of Great Bridge combined with an intrepid ability to locate hidden clues, Connor Baker, Alyssa Houser, and Bronwynn Terrell scored a decisive victory on this chilly afternoon supported by fellow team members Sam Beethoven, Jake Leporte, and Alexis Neff. These six students spent weeks in preparation under the coaching of Mr. Elgut and represented Veritas well in the competition. Former Chesapeake Mayor William Ward presented the team with the Chesapeake Freedom Challenge trophy which will be housed at the school until next year’s competition.
