When to apply

Veritas Collegiate Academy has rolling admission; however, to receive priority consideration for Tuition Assistance, submit your application as soon as you have made your enrollment decision. We encourage families to begin the application process as soon as possible, as space in particular grades and classes can be limited. To apply, please complete the following:

Step 1: Submit Application

Submit an online application and $75 application fee for each student.

Step 2: Provide Records Release Form and Teacher Recommendation Form

Provide the Records Release form to your child's current school and the Teacher Recommendation Form to one of your child's current teachers.

If applying for grades K -1, or 2 - 6, please have the child's main teacher complete the recommendation form.  For grades 7 - 12, please have their Math teacher and English teacher complete the recommendation.  They are advised to return the records and recommendation forms directly to Veritas Collegiate Academy.

Step 3: Submit Financial Aid Application (if applicable)

Please apply for financial aid through FACTS Grant & Aid.  Many factors, in addition to income, are considered in calculating financial aid and scholarship.

Once the student(s) has completed the application process and has been offered acceptance,  then we will communicate the financial aid award.

Private school is a partnership between school and family.  In this spirit of partnership, when a school makes a financial commitment to support a student, it wants to see a similar promise from a family.  This establishes a shared seriousness and common bond, so be prepared to pay something.

Veritas has a history of assisting families and we remain committed to maintaining our global view of cultural, ethnic, and economic diversity.

VCA offers a multiple-student discount. 10% off for the 2nd child, 15% off for the 3rd child, and the 4th child is free (through 6th child).

Step 4: Testing

All students applying to grades 2 - 12 are required to take the ISEE test.  Please call the school for the next scheduled exam date and register online with ISEE.  The results of the testing will become your property.

Testing may be waived if you have standardized testing results from the year prior to the year of entrance to Veritas. Standardized test results accepted in lieu of ISEE testing are SAT, PSAT, ERB, TerraNova, Stanford, Iowa, and CAT.

Step 5: Schedule a Parent Interview

Once we receive the required documents and records, and the application is submitted, our Admissions Director will contact you to schedule a date and time for an interview with both parents.  We require students applying to grades 7 through 12 to attend this meeting with their parents. Please allow approximately 1 hour for the interview.

Step 6: Acceptance and Enrollment

Official acceptance will be communicated in writing.  Instructions for completing online enrollment will be emailed once an acceptance decision has been made.  The online enrollment process, associated fees, and a signed Financial Agreement are required to secure enrollment and hold a place in the class for your child.

Note: Educational Vulnerabilities

Children with a severe learning disability may not be admitted to Veritas due to the lack of adequate staff, funding, and facilities.

Children who have been diagnosed as having a mild learning disability will be required to meet the same academic standards as the other children in their grade level and will be given as much individual instruction and encouragement as their classmates.

Minor accommodations for children with a mild learning disability may be made on a case-by-case basis by the appropriate school Director with input from the child’s teachers. If such accommodation fails to meet the educational needs of a child, Veritas will require that the child receive additional resource support or tutoring as a basis for continued enrollment at VCA. All costs associated with resource support or tutoring will be the responsibility of the family.
